J-Tech Creations, Inc has released application "Touch SOSA Controller Client" on Nov 10, 2016. This is an app to control the screen of a Mac via an iOS Device. What's special about this app is you can use the Touch Bar with this app. Here is a simple demonstration video.
There are some other solutions like https://github.com/bikkelbroeders/TouchBarDemoApp but you need to install it onto the iPad with a developer account which is not that easy.
"Touch SOSA Controller Client" can be installed from the App Store with the following link.
You will also need to install the Mac App https://www.jtechs.com/products-overview.php#touchSosaController. The Mac app lets you stream your screen to an iPad, and here is how you can show Touch Bar Simulator.
1. Install the latest Xcode from Apple.
2. Launch Xcode and click on "Window" -> "Show Touch Bar"

3. Launch Touch SOSA Mac app and on the status bar, select "Touch Bar"
3. Launch the iOS app "Touch SOSA Controller Client" and tap on "Connect Host" to "Mac", then you can display your Touch Bar to your iPad and use it there.
Here is some known issue.
- When you use fullscreen on the app, touch does not work well.
- Only one finger can be used due to mac cursor limitation. (Even from Mac Simulator)
- It is not as responsive as the actual Touch Bar.
- If you use "Karabiner Element" or such kind of keyboard emulation software, some Touch Bar features may not work. (Even from Mac Simulator)
Anyway, looks like Apple have not shipped MacBook with Touch Bar yet so good for testing anyone ;)
