Remote Pointing Device

Sometimes elderly people need remote document or digital device support. We came up with a solution that allows someone to render support from afar.

Our remote pointing device development is outlined below.

In the video, I was in the office, while my son who was at our home received my direction.

I asked him to point to several places using the remote pointing device.
There was no need to explain how to navigate the device, since he could easily do it via the website I developed.
I thought this remote pointing device may help my mother who lives in a retirement home in Japan.
For example, she receives a document, in this case a questionnaire letter that requires information to be filled out. To assist her, we ask her to place the letter under the camera, and then we can see the document remotely and explain what needs to be done with the pointer.

We look forward to a successful project that is easy to use.

We hope to use this technology for other people and companies.

Beyerdynamic T5p Cable Replacement Solution

We decided to add MMCX female connectors to our T5p headphones to allow for easy cable replacement / upgrade with any MMCX male cables. First, remove the original cables. MMCX female connectors  I got these connectors in Japan, but I was able to find them on Google too. Push in the connector into the 3D printed parts. You can download the files for the parts we 3D printed  here . The parts were a perfect fit when printed on our 3D printer, but it may defer depending on the 3D printer. Then I cut the original cable to create two short cables and soldered them onto the connectors. The middle prong is for the red wire, and then as for the outside prongs, you can pick one for the ground. After they're connected, you can secure them in place with some hot glue. In the picture below, the cover parts are put on, but those can not be on when you insert the part into the headphones in the next step. Then insert this part from the outside o

Robot Arm Projects

Our robot arm project started in 2018. We are now creating small robotic arms as a test project to animate the arms of a teddy bear. Latest Picture The First Version. It used three servos, but it was too noisy. The Second Version.   To reduce noise I tried using stepper motors, but it didn't work well due to heat buildup. After 3 weeks it stopped running so we decided to use servos again. The Third Version (Top Video)  Using five servos. Installation was just about completed, but we discovered that the cable broke after only one day of operation. So now we use strong stainless steel cables. Robot skeleton installation time.
